How much does it cost to repair and maintain the solar system?
Most PPA or Lease options come with free repair and maintenance services for the term of the agreement. For purchase or financing options, it usually comes with 10-25 years of services. Most solar panels are very reliable and don't need much service, but the life-time for the inverter is around 10-12 years which may cost a few thousand dollars to replace each time.
Does installing solar systems require permits?

Can the solar system damage my roof?
Installing solar panels on roof top requires penetrating the roof in order to securely install the racking system so it won't fly off the roof.
